Dear Friend,

Welcome to Wisdom's Voice, a site filled with uplifting messages and prayers that I received through inspirational writing. I am an ordinary person who had an extraordinary mystical experience. It turned my life upside down and completely changed my course. I had a long career as a registered nurse and thought I would walk that path until I retired. That was my mind's plan. My heart had another agenda.

I was born in Western Pennsylvania and grew up in sunny South Florida. My nursing career ended in my early fifties because of a painful and debilitating illness. During a long period of disability I began having visions, first with my eyes closed and eventually with my eyes open. I wasn't afraid; I was fascinated. I believe this fearlessness came from being raised by a mother who was extremely intuitive and who had many mystical experiences during her lifetime, which she shared with me. Throughout my life I saw metaphysical events as natural occurrences.

In 1992, a series of minor accidents prompted me to seek guidance. My counselor suggested that I try automatic writing. A few months later, I stopped the automatic process because I began hearing the words in my mind. Through this process of inspirational writing I began receiving messages from the Archangel Michael and eventually Mother Mary and Jesus.

I was armed with a healthy skepticism, and I often questioned the validity of the messages. The visitations and the helpful guidance from my spiritual advisor finally convinced me that the Sources were real. Once I believed in this gift, I was committed to comply with the requests to write the books. The Lines of Light was published in 1995 and A Gift of Roses followed in 2004.

There is a voice within each of us, the one that speaks of God, of a higher calling, and of greater purpose. That voice is the Voice of Wisdom. It is our inner guidance. It speaks through the heart, not the intellect. It makes itself known in different ways, and it speaks to all of us. How we hear the Voice depends somewhat on our religion, our background and our creative gifts. Most important, however, is our willingness to acknowledge and listen to it.

Oh yes, I resisted and struggled before finally surrendering to the voice. In answering its call, however, I evolved to a new level of understanding about myself and a greater appreciation of the world. As time went by, I was aware of a heart-desire not to leave this world without gaining a greater insight into who I am, why I am here and contributing something good.

I have learned that in God's world there is one Voice. The great teachers, prophets, saints, and sages of all religions heard this Voice, and we can hear it too. I believe I heard it through the personalities of the Archangel Michael, Mother Mary and Jesus because I was raised as a Christian. Had I come from a different background, the Voice of Wisdom might have come through a different personality or in a different way.

Today, sometimes I receive a name with a message and sometimes not; but through the words, I feel the blessed energy and warmth of love, which tells me all I need to know. I do not take this lightly though. Even after many years of receiving, I must always remember to be discerning and to be certain that the voice I hear is not my ego, but the true Voice.

Thank you for visiting Wisdom's Voice. I hope the messages and prayers give you the comfort and inspiration that they have given me.

With Love and Blessings,

Barbara
