"Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost
all you have, get understanding. Esteem her, and she will
exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you. She will set
a garland of grace on your head and present you with a crown
of splendor."
(NIV, Proverbs 4:7-9)
Dear Friends,
I received the following messages through inspirational writing.
I hope that they will inspire you remember who you are, to
listen more closely to your inner Voice, to believe that you
have a divine purpose and to know that you are unconditionally
loved.
With Love,
Barbara

The Journey
I Am With You
One
Tiny Candle
In the instant of recognition your tiny candle ignites, like
a newborn babe awakening to life. Sometimes your candle flickers
softly in the shadows and expands its light as inspiration
flows into your heart. Your flame never dies, for the lingering
beauty of its essence lives on eternally in the heart of the
heavenly domain.
My children, I come to you to speak of life, of love, of
joy. You hold within, the Eternal Flame of God. You are the
keepers of this flame. Your shining faces, your holy lights
reflect the passion of those who believe in living from the
heart. As your join with your brothers and sisters in celebration
of the Light, you honor the One who created you.
Listen and hear the Voice whisper:
One tiny candle, like
a star in the sky.
One breath of holiness ignites its flame on high.
One tiny candle, a life young, yet old,
In the sunlight of heaven through the darkness unfolds.
One tiny candle, that's
how you appear.
I see not the body that you hold so dear.
I see in the mist a light flickering there.
One tiny candle, in joy and in prayer.
One tiny candle glows
brighter each day,
As shadows behind it are all swept away.
One tiny candle, glows in the night.
This tiny candle I see as your light.
Its beauty astounds even
seekers of love.
Its brightness outshines all the stars of above.
Its holiness brings forth a love so intense,
With acts of forgiveness, to mend every fence.
Only God sees the beauty of hearts everywhere,
Holding the candle with joy and in prayer.
Join the light of your hearts to let peace and joy reign,
Within one brilliant candle, and the world it will change.

The
Music of the Heart
My Dear Child,
It is time now to test your faith, to rise above the chaos
of the day and listen to the music of the heart. You see,
my child, a heart sings when it is touched and cries when
it is sad, but when a heart is forgotten and lost within the
chaos of the mind, it bleeds. You hold within your heart the
music of angels, the choir of the divine singing in harmony
and fully aware of the infinite Presence.
You ask, "What must I do to hear the angels sing?"
You need do nothing but to be aware of the beauty around you.
Look at the sky and listen to the birds. They sing with the
angels. The rustling leaves, the wind, and the ocean's waves
breaking softly on the shore all play the music. Listen to
the crescendo of movement as winds blow the leaves from the
trees and the waves grow high and dash against the shore.
This is the music of the heart.
Can you not see that the music is everywhere, in everything
created by the One? It is lifting and longing, rising and
falling, bloating and receding in harmony with the universe.
Yes, my child, you may hear the angels sing, but you must
do more than listen.
You hear the music of the heart in the stillness, but you
must play the music of the heart in the street. Your body
is an instrument that carries you along the path of life,
and within this instrument is the heart of God. It lies within
your soul. You must care for your instrument as you would
an exquisite violin or a stately piano. Each day, play a concerto
of love, of compassion, of joy and of peace. Play the music
of the heart to those who cross your path.
For your instrument to function fully, you must play it daily
until the music becomes a part of you. Unless it is played,
the instrument becomes congested, and when it is out of tune,
the sickness comes. My child, you were given life to play
music and to sing with the angels. When your instrument is
in tune with nature, your heart joins with angels and sings
in harmony the music of the heart.
Remember, the heart of the soul is the heart of God. It is
who you are, and when you play and sing the music, you honor
that One who created you. As each child of God learns to play
in tune, peace will descend upon the earth expressing as the
One who writes the music.
Amen

Journey to the Mountaintop
My Dear Child,
The journey you must travel is often littered with obstacles;
yet it is you who decides your path, and only you can travel
that which you create. Sometimes you walk along beside your
brother holding one another to a road that neither of you
sees as good. You wander through the desert of despair and
into the shadow of the valley of the mind. Sometimes you are
forced to choose the path of good or evil, the path of dark
or light. You walk together, clinging to one another, hoping
for changes in worldly events and worldly circumstances.
My child, it is time to release your hold on your brother
and his on you. Although you walk together in the desert and
the valley, to reach the mountaintop, you must walk alone.
As you see your soul's path diverge from your brother's, you
must release one another and walk the holy path of your own
soul. Here you decide to live with the knowledge of the world
or the knowledge of Heaven. The God of all stands waiting
for you to walk His path, to accept His will, and end the
suffering.
Holy is this path, and holy are you who walk it. It has been
found by many brothers who see the lessons in the journey
to Enlightenment as that path to Heaven. You walk alone, but
you do not die alone; for when you move out of the valley
and up the mountain, life takes on new meaning. When you honor
that holy path and begin the ascent to the mountaintop, you
climb alone.
Always remember that your heart knows the path well, but
your mind does not want to see it. Herein lies the problem,
for only an enlightened mind can see the value of the journey
and become engaged in its fulfillment.
Accept the goodness offered as you release your brother and
walk tall in the glory of the Most High. When you follow the
standards put before you and denounce the illusion that you
are anything other than a holy expression of God, you open
the way to Paradise.
The silent path to God is yours today. In the moment of awakening,
you travel the path of light side by side with your brother;
whether the paths cross or diverge, you must honor them. Your
need to use your brother as a crutch is ended when you choose
to see him as the holy one he is. You will join your brother
once again at the mountaintop, where you will flow together
on the holy path as one mind, one universe. Remember, I am
with you now and forever.
Amen

The Garden in the Heart
My Dear Children,
In this Holy Week of reflection you honor that which seems
so long ago, yet only a moment has passed. You have within
you the power to change the world, and you have within you
the world you came to see. Your prayers and devotion are expressions
of your love, but the greatest gift that you can give is to
visit the Garden in your heart, the place where love abides.
It is the place that you hear my Voice. It is in this place
that you unlock the mystery of life. Listen now and believe.
There is a Garden in
your heart,
A place where Love abides
A place where you and I can meet,
A place where you can fly.
It's filled with flowers,
with baby's breath,
With fruit and nuts so sweet.
But you deny its presence, and
Instead you choose to weep.
This Garden holds no
mystery
But you believe it's so,
You turn within to find it,
When there's nowhere else to go.
Unmask the fear within
your mind
And you will always see,
It is in the Garden of the heart
That you will find the key.
You hear my voice when
you arrive.
My love you do receive.
And in the Garden we commune.
You listen as I speak.
Surrender now, my child
of Light,
Your purpose to fulfill.
I feed you goodness and in life,
I ask you do my Will.
You are my child, you
are the light,
That you will one day see.
When you come into the Garden,
And unlock Life's mystery.
AMEN

In
Gratitude
My Dear Child,
You cannot know the power of your words or the beauty I see
when I hear your simple thoughts of gratitude. Look upon this
moment together as a lesson in awareness, for most of the
time you walk about unaware of the beauty around you. You
believe in what your eyes see and your ears hear. What you
do not always believe is your heart.
You speak of trials and tribulations, of things that displease
you, of thoughts that carry you away from the present moment.
In every moment you are sad, you block happiness. In every
moment you fear, you block love. In every moment you do not
see, you block me.
I ask you now to imagine a child who has not food to eat,
not water to drink, and no one to love. See those child-eyes,
wide and bright, longing for a tender touch, a morsel of food,
and a cup of water to relieve the thirst.
Be aware, my dear one; that is often how I see you. But when
you come to my table in gratitude as you did today, you are
fed, refreshed, and loved beyond measure. You see, my child,
I am grateful for your presence.
As a child, when you received a gift, you were taught to
say thank you. When you did not like the gift, you were taught
to still say thank you. Life is like that, my child. Give
thanks for each moment, dark or light, for it is here you
learn the lessons of life.
Each moment is a gift, a blessing. My gifts of life are yours,
for you are the wonder of the world, the light that shines
for me, the love that showers on others, and the joy that
permeates the wholeness of all creation.
Remember, an open heart is a grateful heart that is aware
of the many blessings. When you let your heart be open, your
troubles will melt away like the winter snows. When you are
on your knees in loving gratitude, your heart opens and the
bud within bursts forth into a fragrant flower. It is here
you are with me.
Be grateful for one another. Be thankful for each revelation
that takes you forward. When, in your heart, you are truly
aware of my gifts to you and understand the wealth of life,
then you are truly free.
Amen

The
Journey
To all the souls around
me,
In the place I yearn to be.
To the wholeness of creation,
That I truly long to see.
With my brothers and
my sisters,
I become what I can be,
As we dare to walk the journey,
Seeking perfect harmony.
The flame that burns
within us,
The passion to be free,
Gives us hope for the future,
That we one day hope to see.
Tis the grinding of the
wheat
And the spinning of the silk.
That works itself within us,
Toward the passion to be filled.
Our minds will betray
us,
If we believe it to be so.
Yet in splendor and in glory,
His reminders tell us no.
The magic of the stillness
Moves us slowly back to God.
And gives us opportunities
To awaken or to nod.
While God awaits our
presence
In the stillness of our hearts.
We humbly sit with gratitude
And hear the music start.
In the concerto of Love,
We feel the power of the One.
And we know it keeps us safe,
Till the rising of the sun.
In the brightness and
the glory,
In the sunlight of the day.
We remember God within us,
And we bow our heads to pray.
The thanksgiving in our
hearts
And the love we have to give,
Bursts forth in golden splendor
As we know that we can live.
In the presence of the
One
We are sheltered once again.
As our hearts are filled with wonder,
Our Creator lies within.

I
Am With You
My Dear Child,
In this place, I wait for you. In this place, I teach you.
In this place, I pray for you, and in this place, I serve
you. Always come to me my child, and through your search you
will find me here waiting. Do not avoid me. Do not fear me,
for I am you and you are I. We are not separate. We are immersed
in this glorious kingdom, often unexplored by the hearts of
men.
I love you, my child, and I willingly hear your prayers and
your cries of sorrow. I know the pain of your life. I weep
at your anguish, but I rejoice in your joy, for you are my
joy. Believe me, my child, for the beauty of the kingdom within
is no different than the beauty without. Let your eyes see
and your ears hear. You must learn to see all pain and suffering
as the observer of a greater life unfolding. Never fear for
I am here, waiting for your visits and waiting for you to
acknowledge the divinity within you.
Go in peace, my child, and carry my love with you. As you
face obstacles, return to me and, hand and hand, we shall
find that peaceful resolution to your despair. Remember, you
are my joy. Be joyful. Make no mistake; I am with you now
and forever.
Amen
